ACADEMIC INFORMATION SYSTEM IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT AT DARUL ULUM SAROLANGUN ISLAMIC HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract

The current information system has become something that is needed by an educational institution in terms of using data management, in this case the information system is very useful for facilitating data management, because at this time conventional data management has begun to be abandoned because it has many weaknesses in use and usage. When the current system often encounters difficulties in searching for data, the discovery of duplicate data is found due to sequential data collection and the occurrence of data corruption and loss. related to information systems, where not only an individual who needs some information that can help him in completing a job because humans are social beings, then an educational institution also needs something called an information system. Basically, information systems do not always have to be complex, some are simple. However, an information quality depends on 4 things, namely accurate, timely, relevant and economical.

Technology along with the times has an impact on education, one of which is in the management of education. STAI Darul Ulum Sarolangun, which has utilized an academic information system to assist in the service process for students and lecturers, provides advantages, especially in education management. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the use of technology through academic information systems in managing education at STAI Darul Ulum Sarolangun. The method used is descriptive qualitative by utilizing research instruments of observation, documentation and literature study. The results of the research are that there is an educational management process flow that has been implemented by STAI Darul Ulum Sarolangun where the output can be used to achieve the vision, mission, goals and strategies that have been set.
